Gary S. Salzman

Gary S. Salzman is a shareholder with GrayRobinson, P.A., practicing in its Orlando office. He primarily handles litigation, mediation, arbitration and private judging for business, real estate, employment, landlord-tenant and lender disputes.

Gary received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1985 and his Juris Doctorate in 1988 from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, when he began practicing as a member of The Florida Bar. In 1997, Gary became Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Business Litigation. He then served for six years on The Florida Bar’s Business Litigation Certification Committee as a former member and past chairperson. He also served on the Business Court Formation Committee for the Ninth Judicial Circuit for Orange County, Florida.

Gary is presently an elected member of the Executive Council for the Orange County Bar Association and an appointed member of The Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Additionally, he holds a “master” designation and is the President of the George C. Young First Central Florida American Inn of Court.

Gary is a certified by The Florida Supreme Court as a circuit-civil mediator and appellate mediator. He is also trained arbitrator by the American Arbitration Association and The Florida Supreme Court, as well as a member of the American Arbitration Association’s arbitration and mediation panels.

Paul Scheck

Paul Scheck is a partner with Shutts & Bowen LLP. Mr. Scheck primarily practices in the areas of labor & employment, and has worked with employers and human resources professionals for almost 20 years. He advises businesses on ways to enforce non-compete agreements, and handles claims involving unpaid wages or overtime, as well as employment discrimination cases and other labor matters. His clients include companies in the construction, entertainment, timeshare and health care industries. He attended the University of Florida for undergraduate and law school. Mr. Scheck is currently the President of the Orange County Bar Association and is a Past President of the Young Lawyers’ Section.

Nicholas A. Shannin

Nicholas A. Shannin is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in appellate practice and is rated “AV-Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell. He is also a Board Certified Circuit, Appellate and Federal Court Mediator. He has been selected to Florida Trends “Legal Elite” and to “Super Lawyers” for each of the past several years.  He is an experienced appellate advocate with an extensive background in state and federal appellate representation. He maintains a practice including commercial, construction, governmental and tort litigation to compliment his appellate practice. He is admitted to practice in Florida state and federal courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. Mr. Shannin earned his Juris Doctor with honors from The University of Florida School of Law where he won competitions as a member of both the Moot Court and Trial Teams. He also earned his dual major B.A. from Rice University in Houston, Texas. Mr. Shannin is a member of The Florida Bar, including the Executive Council of the Appellate Practice Section. He has also served on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors. Mr. Shannin is very active with the Orange County Bar Association, having served as President of its Young Lawyers Section, President of its Foundation, and President of the Legal Aid Society Board of Trustees. He has been recognized for his professionalism in his practice as the recipient of the Orange County Bar Association Lawrence Mathews Professionalism Award. Mr. Shannin is also a long-time member of the Osceola County Bar Association. In addition to his state and local bar activities, Mr. Shannin serves as spokesman for the West Orange Habitat for Humanity, and actively promotes Habitat’s mission amongst lawyer groups statewide.

Brian L. Steinberger

Brian S. Steinberger, Esq. is the founder and senior managing member for the intellectual property law firm of Brian S. Steinberger, PA, Registered Patent Attorneys, having four registered patent attorneys in Cocoa, Florida.

Mr. Steinberger has been a registered patent attorney for over 19 years, and has written and prosecuted over 1,000 patent applications which have issued into over 900 U.S. granted patents, as well has hundreds of foreign patents, and over 1,200 trademarks and hundreds of copyrights. His clients include major universities, corporations, small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Mr. Steinberger has been an adjunct instructor on Intellectual Property for the UCF Small Business Development Center since 1995, as well as for the UCF Incubator Center in Orlando for many years, and authored dozens of articles on intellectual property for publications including the Orlando Sentinel. Mr. Steinberger has litigated patent, trademark and copyright cases as well as has been a testifying expert on in Patent litigation cases.

Before starting his firm, Mr. Steinberger worked at the U.S. Patent Office as an examiner for over 9 years, leaving the Patent Office as a Senior Primary Patent Examiner. As a former examiner, he examined over 500 patent applications as both a junior and senior patent examiner in electrical and mechanical arts, and received multiple awards for quality achievement.

Mr. Steinberger received his Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law in 1992, was in the top1/3 of his class, and on the National Moot Court Team. Mr. Steinberger received academic scholarships for both his second and third years, while continuing to work full time at the U.S. Patent Office.

Mr. Steinberger received his engineering degree in industrial operations engineering and a general science degree for Physics with electrical engineering work from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1982.

In addition to being a registered Patent Attorney, Mr. Steinberger has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1995, the Pennsylvania Bar since 1992, and the Federal Bar for the Middle District of Florida for over 10 years.
