We are pleased to announce the nominations and important details for the OCBA 2024-2025 fiscal year. As we prepare for the upcoming term, we invite all eligible members to participate in the nomination and election processes. In the spirit of
promoting a strong legal community, these elections will determine the individuals who will serve in key leadership roles within the OCBA, the Legal Aid Society, and the Young Lawyers Section. Please review the following information carefully
to understand the key dates, nomination guidelines, and election procedures to ensure your active participation in shaping the future of our organization.
Below are the nominations for the OCBA 2025-2026 fiscal year.
OCBA Executive Council
(One-year term for each position: June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2026.)
- Vice President/President-Elect
- Treasurer
- Secretary
(Three-year term for each position: June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2028.)
- Three (3) Executive Council Seats
Legal Aid Society of the OCBA
(Three-year term for each position: June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2028.)
Young Lawyers Section of the OCBA
(Two-year term for each position: June 1, 2025, through May 31, 2027.)
- Five (5) Board Member Seats
Important Deadlines:
Nomination Period: November 4, 2024 to January 17, 2025 (Deadline Extended).
Nominating Guidelines and Important Election Information
- Completed nomination form(s) must be sent via email to Candice Disorbo at candiced@ocbanet.org
- Each nomination form must be signed by no less than five (5) OCBA members in good standing.
- For YLS nominations, the forms must be signed by no less than five (5) OCBA members in good standing, who are also YLS members.
- To make sure you receive your election ballot, log in to your member account on the OCBA website to check that your email address is correct, no later than December 31, 2024.

Important Election Information
Voting shall be conducted online by secret ballot through Balloteer, an independent election services provider.
Each voting member will receive secure access to the online ballot via email sent to the member’s email address on record. If you need to update your email address or do not receive a ballot, please email Carolyn Cochrane, at
